FEEDBACK

SHORT FILM - HORROR

Complete - Festival Circuit 2026

Synopsis

FEEDBACK follows three volunteer search-and-rescue workers, Ellie, Denzel, and Tam, who are dispatched to a remote farmland to locate a missing group of young adults. The campsite they find is eerily abandoned: tents ripped, fires long dead, beer cans unfinished. With thousands of acres to search and no cell reception, the team splits up to investigate and set up a signal booster.

Strange things appear, a stick with red material tied to it, primitive dolls with human-like hair, and fleeting glimpses of a gaunt figure in the paddocks. When Tam explores a roadside cave, she encounters a skeletal creature with hollow eyes and flees in terror, injuring herself as she runs.

As a storm rolls in and the sun sets, Ellie and Denzel hear footsteps and inhuman breathing outside their tarp before a lightning flash reveals an impossibly tall, spiny silhouette. They flee to Tam’s arriving car, only to find her bloodied and barely conscious. A blocked gate forces them to stop, but when they return to the car, Tam has vanished—replaced by another bloodied doll.

The creature begins stalking them. With nowhere else to run, Ellie and Denzel take shelter in the same cave Tam fled earlier. A flare shoots into the night sky, followed by a scream echoing through the hills, leaving their fate in the hands of the creature.
